Our trailer hitch receiver today is gonna be an industry standard two inch by two inch receiver opening, which is gonna give you the widest range of accessories to choose from, be it cargo carriers, bike racks, or ball mounts for towing a trailer. The hitch receiver's gonna have an industry standard 5/8 inch hitch pin hole. Speaker 1: Today on our 2011 Lexus RX 350 we're gonna take a look at and also show you how to install the Draw-Tite Max-Frame custom fit class three trailer hitch receiver, its part number is 75676. Now here's what our hitch is gonna look like installed on the vehicle as you can see we're not really modifying the rear appearance all that much. Just gonna have our receiver tube opening here, you see that rounded reinforcement collar and the safety chain connection points really all we're gonna see.This is a class three hitch, it's gonna make it very versatile bike racks, cargo carriers, ball mounts, whatever the need you might have this is gonna be the right decision. If they make an accessory in hitches it's probably gonna come in a class three variety. Now to hold those things in place we'll have two holes here on the side of the hitch, you want to use the one located closest to the front of the vehicle, it's gonna be the larger hole, it's five-eighths of an inch in diameter and you want to choose class three accessories for it. There's plenty of room there so whatever anti-rattle device, locking hitch pin, anything like that you wanted to use you should have plenty of room for it. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Lexus RX 350 we're gonna take a look at and also show you how to install the Draw-Tite custom fit class three trailer hitch receiver, its part number is 75676.Here's what your hitch is gonna look like installed, as you can see we're really not changing the cosmetics of the rear of the vehicle that much at all. We're just gonna have the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening and the reinforcement collar there that'll be really visible behind the vehicle, the rest of the cross tube remains completely hidden behind the rear fascia so we can maintain that nice look of the RX 350. Another thing I like about the appearance of the hitch is that it doesn't really stick way out here on the back of the vehicle, it's nice, close to the rear of the vehicle, doesn't hang out past the rear edge of the bumper, never have to worry about running into it or anything like that.This is a class three hitch, that's gonna make it extremely versatile whether it's bike racks, cargo carriers, ball mounts that you need, just about any type of hitch accessory they make probably comes in a class three variety. See there are two holes in the hitch, we always want to use the larger one, the one that's gonna be closer to the front of the vehicle. That's five-eighths of an inch in diameter and there's gonna be a good amount of room around there for whatever style pin or maybe locking hitch pin or even anti-rattle device that you'd want to use. The rear hole you're only gonna use that with the J pin stabilization system which is just one form of anti-rattle device.Now when you are towing a trailer we do have safety chain connection points here. more

Best 2016 Lexus RX 350 Hitch Options- Video
Today on our 2016 Lexus RX 350, we'll be having a look at our best trailer hitch options. We have two options here for hitches today. On the top we have a CURT Class 3, part number C13272. On the bottom we have a Draw-Tite Class 3, part number 75540. Now the biggest difference we found between our two hitches is our weight capacities. Our CURT hitch here on the top has a 600 pound max tongue weight rating, and that stays the same with weight distribution and without weight distribution. Whereas our Draw-Tite hitch here has a 675 max gross tongue weight rating, with or without weight distribution, as well. more

Here's what our hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. Now as you can see, our hitch is completely hidden underneath our rear fascia here. The only part that you can see underneath the vehicle itself is the actual Class 3 2" receiver. Now underneath our receiver, welded on with this rolled tubular steel, we have our safety chain loops. You have easy access all the way around your safety chain loop. more

Today on our 2017 Lexus RX 350 we'll be having a look at and installing the CURT Class 3 trailer hitch receiver, part number C13272. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. As you can see, the only part of the hitch that's visible from behind the vehicle and underneath it is the actual Class 3 2" by 2" receiver opening itself. On the bottom we have our nice, easy to use safety chain loops. They are a tubular steel welded to the bottom of the receiver, nice access all the way around. We shouldn't have any problems using any safety chains around it. more

Followed by the Draw-Tite also a Class III, part number 75153. Now from a few feet away, the hitches are going to look very similar to one another with the exception maybe of the drop down. This is designed to accommodate our exhaust. It goes down and around the exhaust rather than having to remove that or lower it. You can see the Curt, is going to be a little bit narrower than what we've got on the Draw-Tite. The Draw-Tite gap here is just a little bit bigger so you might want to keep that in mind. more

This custom fit design allows for a drop down that's going to go around the exhaust that eliminates the need for us to lower or remove the exhaust to put our hitch up into place. See our receiver tube opening here offers the 2-inch by 2-inch opening. Today on our 2008 Lexus RX 350 we'll be installing the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 75153. All right, so here's what the hitch looks like installed. As you can it's tucked up nicely underneath our bumper here and wraps around our exhaust, giving our exhaust plenty of room so when our vehicle goes over bumps we don't have to worry about the tail pipe moving around and banging into the hitch making noise. This hitch is a real simple installation, it only takes a few minutes, there's no drilling, cutting, welding required. It goes into factory wall nuts already in the frame, it replaces your factory tow hooks. This hitch has a nice powder coat finish to it which will provide us many years of rust free and corrosion free service. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2008 Lexus RX 330 - Curt- Video
Today on our 2008 Lexus RX 350, we'll be installing the curt class 3 trailer hitch receiver, part number 13530. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. As you can see, it's tucked up nicely underneath our bumper cover here. It wraps around our exhaust here, so you don't have to worry about when going over bumps, having to listen to your muffler or your tail pipe rattle around and bang up against the hitch and cause noise. As you can see here, I'm moving it here pretty good and it comes nowhere close to hitting our hitch. Our hitch has our standard class 3 two inch opening here. On the side of it, we have our 5 eighths inch diameter hitch pin hole here to secure your ball mount, your bike rack or your cargo carrier or any other hitch mounted accessory you may have. We have our nice easy to use safety chain loops on a plate welded to the bottom of the receiver here and you can easily fit your large diameter safety chain here without a problem. This hitch has a nice, round tubular construction and it's powder coated in a high gloss black finish, so it will provide us many years of corrosion and rust free service. This hitch has a 3,500 pound max gross trailer weight rating and a 350 pound max ton weight rating. If you we're to step up to a weight distribution system with your trailer, the capacity increases to 4,000 pounds mass gross trailer weight rating and 400 pounds max gross ton weight rating. You will want to consult with the owner's manual of your Lexus RX 350 to see if it's capable of towing that much weight. more

Today on our 2014 Lexus RX350 we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Curt Custom-Fit Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver. This is going to offer the 2" by 2" opening. It's part number is C13143. Now here's what the hitch is going to look like installed on your vehicle. As you see really cosmetically, it's not going to change a whole lot about it. It's nice, just made a couple cuts right here on our fascia to allow that hitch to stick out. more

On this 2010 Lexus RX 350, we're going to review and install the Curt Class 3 two-inch receiver hitch. Part number C13143. Right off the bat, you can see that it is a nice tight fit underneath the bottom edge of the bumper. It does have a nice reinforcement collar around the edge of it. The symmetricals looks the same on the front as it does on the back. This is our 2 inch opening right here. Underneath the receiver we have a loop for our safety chains. more

On this 2010 RX Lexus 350, we're going to show you a Draw-Tite Max-Frame class 3 two inch receiver hitch. Part number 75676. As you see here, it fits right up against the bottom edge of the bumper. On this 2010 Lexus RX 350, we're going to review and install part number 87569 from Hidden Hitch, a class 3, 2 inch receiver hitch. All right, this is what the hitch looks like once installed on the vehicle. You see it's got 2 inch receiver right here, and it his a nice round collar around the opening. On the bottom here, of course, we have our chain loops for our safety chains. This does use a 5/8 inch hitch pin as well. Okay, now for a proper installation, the under body panel needs to be cut out as well. more

Now to begin our installation we're going to need to remove this lower appearance panel. Now there's several fasteners that we'll need to remove in order to take it down. We'll be using a 10mm socket on all of the bolts, as well as a larger flat head screwdriver to remove a couple fasteners over on the right hand side that are kind of like the push fasteners but they also thread on, but if you unthread them they will come back off. Now with all of our fasteners removed we can go ahead and pull our appearance panel down and set it aside for now. Now there will be a total of six mounting locations that we'll be using to secure our hitch to the vehicle. There will be three on each side. more

Next, we'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements to assist with selecting accessories for your new hitch. In the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumpers is 5 inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 16 inches. This will assist you with selecting accessories such as ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier. To be able to install, we'll first need to remove the lower body panel. There are multiple fasteners that'll need to be removed in order to get it down and out from underneath the vehicle. more

All right today on this 2010 Lexus RX 350, we're going to install part number 13541 from Curt. Okay our first step is to go ahead and remove the lower fascia. There'll be about 13 fasteners that we have to remove to lower the fascia. All right, next we'll go ahead and remove the adjusting hole plugs from the frame rails and we'll go ahead the existing toll loops as well. Now the toll loops will be reinstalled when the hitch is installed. All right, at this point, we can go ahead and install the hitch. more
